Criteria for Inclusion

An application for inclusion in the Dual Career Support Programme at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) may be submitted by a student who:

  1. Actively competes in an individual sport discipline that is included in the programme of upcoming Summer or Winter Olympic Games (including the Paralympic Games and Deaflympics), Summer or Winter World University Games, and has also in this sport:
    • participated in the most recent European Championships, World Championships, or Olympic Games, or
    • participated in the most recent World University Games or World Academic Championships, or
    • won a medal at the most recent Czech National Championships organised by the relevant sports federation, or
    • is part of the system of a youth sports centre or academy established by the relevant sports federation, or
    • is a member of a team (player) competing in the highest national league in the Czech Republic in either the youth or adult category organised by the relevant sports federation (the competition must have at least two levels in youth categories and three levels in adult categories), if such a league exists for individual sports (e.g. tennis, table tennis, badminton, athletics…), or
    • won a medal at the most recent Czech Academic Games (ČAH) or Academic Championships of the Czech Republic (AMR) and is simultaneously a member of a team competing in the highest national league in the Czech Republic in either the youth or adult category organised by the relevant sports federation, if such a competition exists.
  1. Actively competes in one of the following team sports: baseball, basketball (including 3×3), curling, floorball, football (soccer), handball, ice hockey, field hockey, rugby, softball, water polo, volleyball (including beach volleyball), as well as team sports of athletes with disabilities included in the programme of the Paralympic Games or Deaflympics, and at the same time, in this sport, the student:
    • participated in the most recent European Championships, World Championships, or Olympic Games, or
    • participated in the most recent World University Games or World Academic Championships, or
    • won a medal at the most recent Czech National Championships organised by the relevant sports federation, or
    • is included in the system of a youth sports centre or academy established by the relevant sports federation, or
    • is a member of a team (player) competing in the highest national league in the Czech Republic in either the youth or adult category organised by the relevant sports federation (the competition must have at least two levels in youth categories and three levels in adult categories), or
    • won a medal at the most recent Czech Academic Games (ČAH) or Academic Championships of the Czech Republic (AMR) and is simultaneously a member of a team competing in the highest national league in the Czech Republic in either the youth or adult category organised by the relevant sports federation.

The final decision on inclusion in the Dual Career Support Programme is made by the programme guarantor, based on consultations with the relevant sports federations and with regard to the capacity limits set by VŠE.
